《Creatures系列之Mri》

She is a nameless one...but the little creature hiding in the hole on the other hand, is named Mri. Mrialanthapolapalis to be exact, but most humans, being the lazy creatures we are, find the name too long and tongue-twisting for regular usage. He lives in dark holes along the riverbank, and the fish are usually his only companions. However...his is a sad tale, and perhaps one day I'll actually dig up that old story I wrote several years back and polish it up to actually be fit to be seen in daylight. After all, Mri seems to have been pulled out into the sunlight himself....

《Creatures系列之Prince Not-So-Charming and the Damsel》

An orc prince and his lovely lady. My response to the typical beautiful princess and handsome prince imagery.

《Mythology系列之Rainbow Bridge》

Bifrost is the name of the mythical bridge from Norse tales. It leads to Asgard, home of the gods. It is also called the "Rainbow Bridge" for the rainbow flames that sear its length as it arches into the sky.

《Mythology系列之Yggdrasil》

Yggrasil was the mighty ash tree upon which Odin hung for nine days. Its mighty roots thrust into three of the nine planes of existence, and its canopy covers the other six realms.

《Mythology系列之The Norns》

Norns are the "Fates' of Norse Mythology. Three sisters, Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld), weave the destiny of men into threads then cast them to the wind. They are also caretakers of Yggdrassil, watering the massive ash daily.

《Mythology系列之Well of Mimir》

Not far from where one of the enormous roots of Yggdrasil punctures the frozen floor of Jotunheim, a great ring of square stones encircles a pool of dark liquid. The waters of this pool offer great wisdom and knowledge. So valuable is this wisdom, that Odin pledges his right eye to Mimir in exchange for a drink from his well.

《Mythology系列之Well of Urd》

Situated near one of the roots of the world tree Yggdrasil, the well of Urd rests in a beautiful Asgardian garden. The Norns frequently draw waters from this well as they tend to the great cosmic ash.

《Mythology系列之From the Ashes》

A pheonix rising from the ashes of the past to begin anew. The pheonix is a creature that ignites itself in flames and dies only to be renewed with the sun and reborn again. It is a symbol of constant rebirth and change; of trial by fire

《Mythology系列之Dreamcatchers》

There is a native american legend in which an Elder had a vision. He was instructed by Iktomi, the great trickster and teacher of wisdom, in the form of a spider, of the cycles of life. As Ikotomi spoke, he spun a web across the Elder's willow hoops, and from this created a dreamcatcher web. The elder passed on his vision to his people.
Dreamcatchers are hung above one's bed or in the home to sift dreams and visions. The good of dreams are captured in the web of life and carried with you .... but any bad dreams escape through the center hole.

At any rate, that was the inspiration for this picture. What came of it is something entirely of its own, with its own life and story.

《Mythology系列之Last Dance of Hopoe》

From the Hawaiian legend of Ka'auea.
Hopoe was a human friend of Hi'iaka, sister to Pele; teaching her ancient hula and lei making. One day Pele drifted to a tranced sleep where her spirit is transported to Kaua'i where she meets and fell in love with a young man Lohi'au. When she wakened she yearned for her love, and so Hi'iaka alone of all her sisters promised to go and fetch him. In return Pele promised to watch over Hi'iaka's grove of 'ohi'a lehua and Hopoe. But when Hi'iaka did not return in the specified 40 days, Pele went into a fury and destroyed Hi'iaka's sacred grove of trees and Hopoe with it. When Hi'iaka returns with the young man to find the destruction she makes Lohi'au fall in love with her instead and causes Pele to kill him as well.

From Hawai'i - Fiery Pele, and her sister of the icy peaks Poli'ahu.
The Text on the wall reads on the right: "Hulihia ke au ne'e lalo o Waiakea Hulihia i ka mole honua" - The time of upheaval arrives, the foundation of Waiakea is shifting, overturning the very core of the earth.
On the left: "E ho'i, e Pele, i ke kuahiwi, ua na ko lili, ko inaina" - Return O Pele, to the mountain, your jealousy, your rage, are pacified.
