I am profusely offended when I see the user name in discussion (and I am too offended to repeat it!).
Doggywww has kindly explained this matter in a clear, succinct and polite manner. Your time and effort is appreciated, D. Thank you!
On another note, Doggy (中譯: "小狗狗", 常用口語) is a warm and colloquial salutation for dogs (usually small dogs, such as chihuahua).
Examples of other colloquial expressions for amicable animals are Kitty (for kittens, infant cats - 中譯: 小貓貓) and Piggy (for piglets, infant pigs - 中譯: 小豬豬).
Anyone who wishes to twist such an amicable nickname is evil-minded, which, in this case, apparently is.
I am sure there are a lot of users here who have a good command of the language, so good that they are even more offended because they understand what exactly this entails.
Please pardon me using English here as well in this Chinese discussion board. |
